The Midwest Open at Cascade Mountain. Held the first weekend in March, this is the largest extreme event in the Midwest, similar to the X Games. Check out this two-day super pipe event and a night rail jam. Visit www.cascademountain.com
Tour de Dells. The Tour de Dells bicycle race consists of a 32-mile open course road race and a 13-mile closed course mountain bike race. The top 3 finishers in both the road and mountain bike race will receive the coveted Best of Both Award. The event will be held Saturday, May 6, 2006. Visit www.tourdedells.com.
Wisconsin Dells Sesquicentennial Celebration. Celebrate Wisconsin Dells' 150th birthday June 10 & 11, 2006. Saturday's activities include an antique flea market, an arts and crafts fair, Taste of Wisconsin Dells food fair, and live entertainment. USA Triathlon Youth National Championship. Athletes ages 79 compete in a 100m swim, a 5k bike and 1k run. Ages 11-15 compete in a 200m swim, 10k bike and 2k run. This Wisconsin Dells event is held August 26, 2006. Visit www.usatriathlon.org
40th Annual Wo-Zha-Wa Days Fall Festival. All of downtown Wisconsin Dells celebrates the end of summer with this huge festival named for the Ho Chunk phrase "to have fun". Carnival rides, food stands, sidewalk sales, and an arts, antiques and crafts fair culminate with the Wo-Zha-Wa parade on Sunday. This year’s fun festivities are held September 15-17, 2006. 9th Annual Autumn Harvest Fest. Come celebrate the autumn harvest season October 21 & 22, 2006. A variety of events including an arts & crafts fair, a farmer’s market, a pie eating contest, hayrides, pony rides, live entertainment, Wisconsin Dells on Tap microbrew beer tasting and scarecrow stuffing all enhance the brilliant colors that are usually at their peak this time of year. Waterslide-a-thon. As "The Waterpark Capital of the World", Wisconsin Dells brings the community together for the first ever Waterslide-a-thon benefiting Ronald McDonald House® in Madison. This summer on June 24th the "Waterslide-a-thon" will be hosted at Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park and Noah's Ark Waterpark.
