How to Make the Most of Your Vacation

Bring or purchase a "neck safe"-a waterproof container on a lanyard for small items you don't want to lose-like car keys! Car keys are the most commonly lost item at Noah's Ark. The second is sunglasses, so a strap for those is a good idea too. Arrive early to get the best parking and to experience the shortest lines. Late in the day-after 4 p.m.-also sees shorter lines. Try to have lunch early or late because everyone seems to stop for a bite between 12 and 1:30 p.m.-the perfect time to ride your favorite slide.

Attractions at Noah's Ark

There are so many awesome attractions at Noah's Ark from kiddie rides to thrill rides. Adventure River is where you can get lazy, floating on an inner tube in the sunshine-but watch out for waterfalls and geysers. Big Kahuna is the place to be for mondo waves, and there's also the Big Kahuna Kiddie Area with swings, water cannons, fountains and slides for the wee ones. The primo attraction at Noah's Ark is the Black Anaconda-part roller coaster, part waterslide-and at 0.25-miles long, it's a spiraling, gravity-defying whopper of a rush.

  • What are the recommended safety precautions?

That Wisconsin Dells summer sunshine can get pretty toasty, so make sure to apply and reapply sunscreen throughout the day. Adhere to height and weight restrictions as well as age recommendations. Floatation devices are prohibited in Paradise Lagoon and Slidewinders, but you can use water wings and life jackets on all the other attractions. In the Wave Pool, parents should supervise young kids, and those under 48 inches tall must wear life jackets. Wear proper bathing suits free of buckles and rivets, and remember: no diving!
  • What are some restrictions for the major attractions?

There are several height restrictions at Noah's Ark. To ride Black Anaconda, Black Thunder, and Point of No Return, riders must be at least 48 inches tall. For Scorpion's Tail, you have to be at least that tall and weigh between 90 and 300 pounds. A height requirement of at least 42 inches applies for Time Warp, Surfing Safari, and Stingray. For Kowabunga and Slidewinders Kiddie Slide, riders must be at least 43 inches tall. Kids 8 years and younger need to be with an adult to ride The Wave and the Big Kahuna.
