Wisconsin Dells is famous for its hundreds of indoor and outdoor waterparks that you can enjoy year round. Three of the biggest, Kalahari, Great Wolf Lodge, Treasure Island and the Wilderness and fun and friendly Chula Vista whose admission is free when you stay at the Skyline Hotel & Suites. There are also general theme parks that offer some water rides such as Riverview Park, Noah’s Ark and Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park.
Another popular activity is the many Duck Boat Tours. Originally used for World War 2 military purposes, Duck Boats are amphibious (land/water) vehicles with six wheels, a steel hull and the capacity to carry 25 people on land or 50 people while afloat and 5,000-pounds of general cargo. The Duck's land motor is located in the front and operates in water by means of a pusher/propeller located at the rear. There are a few companies to choose from but the Dells Ducks also offers jet boat rides, which are faster and more thrilling as well as their popular Bigfoot Zipline Course where you can fly through the air anywhere from 10-100 feet off the ground, between the trees where normally only birds can go. Participants wear gloves, helmet, and a harness with a carbineer that is attached to a pulley that will be placed on a cable strung between platforms so as thrilling as it is it is still quite safe as you push off the platform and zip along the cable going from tower to tower.
